Cici: The Exceptional Housing Agent Every Foreigner in Hangzhou Needs
In the bustling expat community of Hangzhou, finding the right home can feel like navigating a labyrinth of language barriers, cultural nuances, and unfamiliar rental practices. From the moment I first contacted her +/- 7 years ago, it was clear she operated on an entirely different level. Cici isn't just a housing agent; she's a dedicated partner who truly understands the unique needs of foreigners settling into life in Binjiang or beyond. She is professional, hands-on, endlessly helpful, and deeply experienced. I recommend her to any foreigner without hesitation.
My search began during a particularly busy period at work. I needed a new apartment closer to Hangzhou International School that would suit both my professional lifestyle and my family's comfort, including space for our cats who were stressed from a recent move.
What sets Cici apart is her professionalism. Every interaction is polished and reliable. She communicates promptly via WeChat, follows up on details, and maintains impeccable records of viewings, negotiations, and paperwork. When a minor issue arose with the internet installation post-move, she followed up persistently until it was resolved—something many agents would consider "not their problem't nce the lease was signed. Her dedication extends to all matters regarding the rent: explaining fee structures clearly, mediating any disputes fairly, and ensuring both parties honor the agreement. For anyone relocating to Hangzhou—whether for work at international schools, tech companies in Binjiang, or simply to experience this beautiful city—Cici is the agent you want on your side.
