The following are some of Hangzhou's top hospitals and how to reach them via metro. When you arrive at the station, check the map to ensure which exit you should then take.
Zhejiang Provincial People's Hospital
The hospital, affiliated to the Department of Health Zhejiang Province, is one of the largest Class A Grade III general hospitals integrating medical treatment, research, education, preventation and healthcare!
Directions: Take Metro Line 1, get off at West Lake Cultural Square Station, then walk 859 metres.
Tongde Hospital of Zhejiang Province
Also affiliated to the Department of Health Zhejiang Province, this class A Grade III hospital integrates treatment, research, and education into both Chinese and Western medicine.
Directions: Take Metro Line 2, get off at Gucui Road Station, and walk 493 metres.
The First Affiliated Hospital
The First Affiliated Hospital of the College of Medicine, Zhejiang University, is a large teaching hospital known for two disciplines; infectious disease and surgery!
Directions: Take Metro Line 1 or 5, get off at Chengzhan Station, and walk less than 650 metres.
The Second Affiliated Hospital
Originally known as Hangzhou Guangji Hospital (i.e. 'spreading benevolence around the world' or 'universal benevolence'), this hospital was founded in 1869 and was considered one of the best in the Far East.
Directions: Take Metro Line 5, get off at Wan'anqiao Station, and walk 957 metres.
Women's Hospital School of Medicine
Established in 1951, this hospital's mission has always been "to become a renowned women's healthcare provider and the site of pioneering breakthroughs to improve women's lives all over the world!"
Directions: Take Metro Line 1, get off at Longxiangqiao Station, and walk 642 metres.
Hangzhou First People's Hospital
Founded in 1923, the hospital is the largest comprehensive tertiary hospital in the city, integrating medical treatment, teaching, research, prevention and social health.
Directions: Take Metro Line 1, get off at Longxiangqiao Station, take Exit D2, and walk 497 metres.
Hangzhou Third People's Hospital
Established in 1950, this is a Grade III municipal comprehensive hospital and is affiliated to the Zhejiang University of TCM.
Directions: Take Metro Line 1 or 5, get off at Chengzhan Station, take Exit D, and walk 200 metres.
Hangzhou Seventh People's HospitalHSPH was established in 1954, it's a AAA-grade hospital dedicated to the treatment, research, education, rehabilitation and prevention of mental and psychological disorders.
Directions: Take Metro Line 2, get off at Fengtan Road Station, and walk about 1.4km.
Hangzhou Children's Hospital
This is a non-profit public hospital. With the approval of the Health and Family Planning Commission of Zhejiang, it is built to a high standard, providing every patient with the best possible care.
Directions: Take Metro Line 5, get off at Datieguan Station, and walk about 970 metres.
Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital
Affiliated with the Zhejiang University School of Medicine, this hospital has decades of scientific development and has evolved into a tertiary, research-oriented general hospital with 1,200 beds.
Directions: Take Metro Line 2, get off at Qingchun Square Station, walk for 500 metres.
