About Wellington College
Wellington College in England was founded by Queen Victoria in 1859 as a national monument to Britain’s most renowned military figure, the Duke of Wellington, Field Marshal Arthur Wellesley, who also served the country with distinction twice as Prime Minister.
Over 160 years later, the College is one of the most respected schools in the United Kingdom and also one of its greatest educational institutions; pioneering, innovating and transforming education for girls and boys.
About Wellington College Hangzhou
Wellington College Hangzhou was founded in 2018, with the opening of three schools, Wellington College International Hangzhou, Huili School Hangzhou, and Huili Nursery Hangzhou.
Wellington College International Hangzhou offers a world-class international education for children of expatriate families from the ages of 2 to 18, following a curriculum based on the English National Curriculum, enhanced by the International Primary Curriculum (IPC). These naturally lead into the IGCSE and A Levels Programme in Senior School. As with all Wellington College schools, the Wellington Values and Identities form the core of the holistic education provided by Wellington College International Hangzhou.
